CECT KA08 Covers

The other day, someone asked me what colors for available for CECT KA08 covers. The question confused me a little bit because like with other phones, the possibilities are somewhat endless. This holds true for materials also, from silicone to leather to a hard, rubber cover. I finally realized (when the writer said that she was not able to find a red cover) that she thought that the colored housing that comes on these phones was a removable cover. This is not the case.

The KA08, or the “mini iPhone” as it’s commonly called, has all of the colors that are available for it as part of the phone. In the way that most phones have basic black or silver housing, these phones come in colors like glossy white, bright red, pastels, and also greens, blues, metallics, and even rainbow or multi colored. This is not something that you take off and remove (although the housing can be changed out) like you would a skin or case (although skins and cases are also readily available for this mini clone.)

This color feature is one of the things that makes this phone unique to even the clone community. If you’re looking for say, a green iPhone clone, you aren’t going to find that, at least right now, in many places other than the KA. There are a few other unique things about this popular model. It’s also smaller than previous clones. It also has talking text.

Other than these things, it’s pretty much what you might expect from the clones. It is a quad band. It does have two sim slots available for it. It does support Bluetooth as well as the shake and tilt feature. It has the digital camera whose photos you can crop and manipulate using the finger touch interface. A web cam is included with this too, as is an FM radio. There’s a pretty good media player too, that includes MP3s and MP4s. There’s also web browsing, messaging, email, etc.

Finally, as with the other clones, this one doesn’t require one particular carrier or network over another. Any carrier that uses GSM sim cards will generally work (so long as the sim works and is activated.) The most popular carriers in this line up are T Mobile and AT&T but there are others. In short, all of the colors available for this phone define the phone itself. This isn’t a removable skin that we’re talking about. It’s the actual housing. I know that most people realize this, but I do often get emails to the contrary.
