Mobile phone companies are working harder and faster to develop the best one-phone-fits-all gadget, providing high-speed internet, email, music, camera and good old-fashioned calling in a small, sleek, sexy shell.

It’s not exactly an easy task however. Mobile technology moves at a rate of knots and just as one phone is unveiled as the king of all phones, a new one comes along to boot it out. So trying to find a phone that will stand the test of time and will actually still be at the top of its game in the months to come is no easy task, however, the latest smartphone from Samsung may just fit the bill.

Samsung have always produced stylish, attractive phones but the new Samsung Jet sets a new record on the good-looking stakes. This super-slim smartphone is less than 12mm thick, the customisable 3.1 inch touch screen is ultra-high res with 16 million colours and remains clearly visible in direct sunlight and it’s shiny black casing oozes cool sophistication.

According to Samsung’s marketing of the Jet, ‘impatience is a virtue’, so it has gone all out to create a smartphone that works at 800MHz, 200MHz faster than the new i-phone. Combine this with the TouchWix 2.0 interface and user experience goes through the roof.

It has HSDPA 3G technology, Microsoft Exchange PC synchronisation, 2GB internal memory and up to 16GB external capability. Samsung was aiming for the fastest phone on the market and it seems to have delivered. This phone would win gold in the smartphone Olympics.

It also scores pretty highly on the gadget stakes. It has a 5 mega pixel camera with dual power LED flash, four times digital zoom and anti-shake filter and AMOLED technology for clearer, sharper images; a D1 bitrate video recorder with DVD-like playback; a GPS navigation system including 3D maps and a MP3 player with built-in radio. Phew, what a list!

This phone really does live up to its name. It is fast, efficient and unbelievably cool. It has more features than you can shake a stick at, and still manages to look hot too. Multi-tasking is a breeze on the Jet as it allows you to call, browse and play tunes all at once all using its rapid 800MHz power and 3D user interface so you won’t be ever left waiting, or wanting for that matter.

You can get the Samsung Jet on contracts from just £20 a month exclusively from Vodafone.
